Edmonton Gasoline Still Canada's Cheapest

The average price of gasoline in Canada fell below $1 this week for its first drop of 2010, while Edmonton's gas remained the cheapest in the country.
The average price of regular gas was 99.6 cents a litre Tuesday, down 3.8 cents from a week earlier, data from energy consultancy MJ Ervin & Associates showed. Prices fell or were unchanged in 38 of 60 communities profiled in the weekly survey.

Average Price of Gas Across Canada Falls

The average price of gasoline in Canada fell for the second straight week and below the $1-per-litre mark for the first time in four weeks, according to data released Tuesday.
In Regina, pump prices fell another two cents this past week to 97.9 cents a litre at most stations.

Gas prices inch up but lag crude

Drivers across Canada might have noticed the price of gasoline climbing over the past few weeks, thanks to a fairly quick rise in the price of crude.
However, industry analyst Mike Ervin said consumers should count themselves lucky that that increase hasn't been larger.
Across Canada, the average price is $1.01 for a litre of gas, compared to about 98 cents four weeks ago.
